By accessing or using the ShortURL service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using this service.
2. Description of Service
ShortURL provides a URL shortening service that allows users to create shortened links to webpages. We offer both anonymous shortening and registered user features with additional functionality.
3. Content Validity Period
With Expiration Setting
If you set an expiration period (1 hour to 7 days) when creating a shortened URL, the URL will become invalid after the expiration period is reached.
Without Expiration Setting
If no expiration is set, we use a staged management system: content inactive for more than 14 days will be marked as "Archived" (recoverable), and content inactive for more than 30 days will be marked as "Deleted" (permanently removed). We recommend using your shortened URLs regularly to maintain active status.
4. User Accounts
When you create an account with us, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account and password
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the service to:
- Shorten URLs for illegal, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes
- Distribute malware, viruses, or other malicious code
- Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Spam or engage in any unauthorized advertising
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with another person or entity
6. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to our service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including a breach of these Terms of Service.
7. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall ShortURL, its officers, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the service.
8. Disclaimer
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
